San Diego Vacation Fun: Day 1- SeaWorld

This weekend Tyler had a three and a half day weekend for no special reason so we decided to pack up our family and take a trip to San Diego. We took a ton of pictures so I'll do three or four posts instead of one huge, overwhelming post with a million and a half pictures ;)
We left town on Thursday night and drove about four hours south-ish to San Diego. Friday was the first real day of our vacation and we choose to attend it at SeaWorld. For active duty military personnel, SeaWorld grants the service member and up to three dependents free admission once a year. Going to SeaWorld is sooooooo expensive that we probably wouldn't have wanted to choose to spend our money that way but we we're blessed to be able to take our family to SeaWorld for about $60-after parking, meals, and some fun money- making it a fun and fairly frugal adventure for our family. We had a great time and the kids loved it. Tyler and the kids had never been there and it had been about fifteen years since I last went so it was a super fun opportunity to be able to go during our short stay in California.
One thing I learned is that SeaWorld isn't just about the animals, they had roller coasters and other rides, arcade areas and carnival games, play areas for young and old, and even a small splash pad for kids. I thought it was just ocean animals, which would have been more than enough for me, but it was really fun to do some of the other things that were available at the park as well.
We started out with some small rides for the kids, then moved on to the play areas, played a few arcade games, got some food and then headed around to all the different animal exhibits.
