Sunday selfie!
We moved this last week, starting to get more settled but definitely have a long way to go.
We like our apartment, it's smaller than we are used to and doesn't have a ton of storage so we'll have to get creative but we really like the complex. It's clean and quiet which is awesome! I'll post some pictures after we are all settled in ;)

Sunday Selfie

Taking a break  from all the work we have to do with moving this week!
We have had a busy week! We bought a car last week, a Honda Pilot with more room for our  growing family! :) We move early this week, sign papers for the sale of our house on Tuesday and officially close on Friday. Saturday is my sister Teresa's wedding in Rexburg so we will be headed over there this weekend for that.
Also, we are so glad to still have Daddy with us!!

Madi: 10 Months

Madi turned ten months old a week ago! She is so sweet and still my little calm baby. She is crawling everywhere, pulling herself up on the furniture and walking by the furniture a little. She can also do the downward dog yoga position, crazy I know! She says mama, Dada,  Nana, baba,  and vuh vuh. She almost exclusively eats what we eat, loves potatoes, green beans, yogurt, peaches, pears  and cheese. She wears nine month size clothes but twelve month size pants, girlfriend has long legs! We love our Madi Doodle! She is truly a little joy and ray of sunshine in our family!

Tyler OCS Update

We don't know exactly when Tyler will be going to OCS but his commanding officer says it probably won't be until September. We are excited to be able to spend time time with him before he leaves!!

Sunday Selfie

My family has started doing this fun thing we call "Sunday Selfie" where we send a selfie of whatever we are doing in a group message to all our siblings and parents. It is so fun because it gives us a little look once a week into each others lives that we wouldn't otherwise have that's a lot more personal than Facebook. It is so fun and I love seeing all my siblings selfies and hearing what they are up to. I'm going to try to put our Sunday Selfie on our blog every week as a fun way to talk about what we have been doing that day/week.
This is most likely our last Sunday with Tyler home for a while as he is scheduled to leave for OCS on Friday. I saw "most likely" because he still hasn't gotten his orders yet and his commanding officer says that the orders are usually given about 30 days before he is scheduled to leave. You can do the math, we have about five days left and still no orders and his commanding officer doesn't know why his orders haven't been issued! So anything could happen at this point but I'm just planning on him leaving so that I'm not disappointed either way. It would be way nice to have his help in moving (our apartment is available for move in on the 18th and he leaves the 15th) but I'm not going to hold my breath.
This last week was a busy one for us, with the Fourth of July and Tyler's Thesis defense. We were able to get a babysitter so that I could go support Tyler in his defense. It was so fun to see him in action and he really did a great job presenting all his research. He passed his defense and now all that is left are just a few revisions that his committee wanted him to make and then he is completely done with everything that he has to do for his Master's Degree! I'm so proud of him and all his hard work! He has done some really hard stuff to get this degree and he has really done well even with all that we have had going on as a family! Way to go Ty!!! You did it!!!

Happy Sunday!

Sunday Selfie: Last Sunday with Daddy home for a while :)

And after! He is so tired!!!

Family Times at the Park

We spend a lot of time at the park! Especially when we had showings as we first put our house on the market ;) Madi looks really chubby to me in these pics, she wasn't crawling yet when these were taken. She has slimmed down a bit since she started crawling!
Tyler and Ameilya were off playing so Madi and I were practicing our selfie skills ;)

Ameilya stole Madi's snacks and Madi was not having any of it!!! lol!

Madilynns 9 Month Pictures

She weighed a little over 16 pounds and started crawling at 9 months! We love our Madi girl!!

Fourth of July Festivities

For the Fourth of July we celebrated by going out to Melba, Idaho in the morning for a parade. The parade was really fun but we had heard a lot of hype about going to Melba for festivities and I have to say that I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be based on all the things that people had been telling me. There were lots of old cars, lots of horses, lots of tractors and that was about it. Plenty of candy for the littles ;) In the evening we spent some time in Meridian, Idaho at the park. The park had bouncey houses set up for the kids and that was a blast for Ameilya, she had never been in a bouncey house before. She loved it! The fireworks were really great, both the kids loved them. Even Madilynn, who is generally pretty sensitive to loud sounds. She just clapped and made happy shrieks the whole time!
We love our country and are so blessed to have the freedom that we have! We are grateful for the sacrifices made made by so many so that we can enjoy the liberties that this land affords, worship the way that we choose, and pursue what makes us happy! Happy Birthday America!
