Ameilya Beth: 10 Months Old
At 10 months old Ameilya was crawling, saying dada, nana, rara, and trying to pull herself up on things but not quite getting all the way up. She weighed 19.3 lbs.(I am posting this really late, she turned 10 mo old on the 8th of August.)
Here are some pics that didn't turn out as I would have hoped, in my last post I mentioned that she wanted to grab her sign so I had a hard time getting any good ones. I hardly got any, really. Here they are nonetheless!

So, wow. It's been almost two months since I last posted. I want to say that we have been busy, although I don't feel like that much has happened that I wouldn't have found the time to write for almost two months. Here are a few things that have been going on, I'll give you the Campbells Soup version :)
1: Air conditioner. Got it replaced. What should have taken only one day turned into three when we realized that the air-conditioning system wasn't designed properly for the type of house we have. So they had to run some new duct in the attic and stuff and move the water heater and furnace into the garage and the heat pump to a different spot (in one of my flower beds! Yeah, not so happy about that but oh well).
2: Ameilya turned 10 months old. I tried to get some pics of her. She wanted to hold the sign really bad and I was so afraid that she was going to fall off the couch while trying to do so that I didn't really get many pics of her like I usually do. I'll post a few later but they didn't really turn out all that great.
3: I have been running. A lot. I have been training for a half marathon (13.1 miles) which I am running on September 20, that's exactly two weeks from today. Yes, I'm freaking out just a little. I don't feel like I am as ready as I would like to be but my main goal is to finish it since this is my first one. I feel like I could probably run most of it but I'm not going to be hard on myself for walking a couple miles of it. I'll be sure to post pics and stuff and let you all know how it goes :)
4: We all got sick. That lasted for like two weeks. Tyler got it and shared with Ameilya. She got it worst of all, she had a fever and stuffy nose and just wasn't feeling good. Then I got it. I got it about as bad as Tyler did.
5: We just got back from a trip to Spokane/ Coeur d'Alene to visit our parents up there. We had a really nice time. We were able to fly since we had so many rewards points so it was really cheap for us to do that and then my dad let us borrow a car while we were there so that we could get around as we needed to while we were there. Thanks Dad! :-)
6: I have been couponing, getting a little extreme with it probably too. It's good though, I try to save us as much money as I possibly can so that what we do have goes as far as it can.
7: I have also been teaching lessons and playing in church here and there. I have three students right now. I am playing for the Stake Baptism Day today.
8: Tyler started his semester of school this last week. He is in graduate school and studying mechanical engineering with an emphasis in HVAC. He is taking one class this semester, Advanced Topics in Project Management is what it is called I believe.
Other than that we have just been doing the same old, trying to keep the house up and taking care of sweet Ameilya. She has learned a lot the past little while, I'll devote a few posts to her and all the stuff she has been learning :) (PS can you believe that she is going to be a whole year old in just a little over a month?!?!?! How did time go so fast and why can't she stay little forever?! I can hardly believe that she has been with us for this long but at the same time it's hard to imagine life without her, she is so sweet and innocent and such a good little baby. It feels like she has always been a part of our family.)
Sorry for all the words and no pictures! I promise I will post pics later, I just have to go get ready to play at a baptism here pretty quick. More later though!

Ameilya learned to clap!
Ameilya just keeps learning and learning! We are always surprised with how much she understands and how intelligent she is. She recently learned to clap and knows the word "clap" and what it means. All you have to do is say "clap", not even as a command- just in a sentence, and she will do it!
Ameilya turned 9 months old, Tyler's birthday and other happenings :-)
First off, Ameilya turned 9 months old last week. That makes her pretty close to a year old. How did my newborn get so big?! My goodness time flies too quickly!
At the beginning of July she weighed almost 19 pounds and was 27.5 inches long!
She is learning so many new things!
She says: dada, nana, ra ra, and combinations of those. Like yesterday she said da na na ra! ;) almost says mama but not quite
She can roll and roll and roll and roll. And sit up from laying down all by herself. Still working on crawling, making good progress though, gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth. A couple times she has gone forward a little bit but not full on crawling yet.
She is starting to try to pull herself up on the furniture and stuff.
She LOVES to bounce
She LOVES the water and really likes to splash around
She has two teeth! At 8.5 months old she got her first tooth, and then the second within a week and a half. Man that was a crazy couple of weeks. Pretty sure she's working on another couple since she chews on things like crazy.
While she was getting those teeth through she refused to eat anything that was warm. But now she is back to eating all her standards, sweet potatoes, carrots, corn, pears, peaches, applesauce, yogurt. We have added a new food to her diet, she now eats cheerios and she absolutely loves them! We have also, at her pediatrician's suggestion, started giving her a little water in her little trainer sippy cup :)
For Tyler's birthday this year we had a special surprise date planned, he didn't know the details, only that there was a plan ;) We had a lot of fun! We went to Celebration Park near Nampa and walked around for a little while, floated the river and went mini-golfing. We left Ameilya with a good friend over night for the first time! She had a great time with her Auntie Rachael which made it so Tyler and I could go and do activities we wouldn't normally be able to do with her. We missed her and were sure glad to have her back at the end of the day but we are glad that she had a lot of fun!
Here are some pics: (sorry, I understandably didn't get any from floating the river)
Celebration Park: It was so beautiful!
Mini Golfing:
On the way home after picking up Ameilya: (it won't let me rotate it) All tuckered out from playing!
On Tyler's actual birthday (all the surprising was done the weekend before his bday), we had a nice dinner and he went golfing with a friend from our ward :)

His cake. I'm guilty, I totally bought his cake this year. I normally wouldn't do that but with our air conditioner broken I didn't want to heat up the house with cooking any more that I had to.
Special place setting that we use for birthdays and special events and the like :)
Tyler's dish of choice for his special day: beef teriyaki with rice and a salad
Tyler asked me how much cake I wanted and I told him just a little, this is how much he gave me ;) Silly guy!

A Funny thing Ameilya Has Learned
Ameilya has been learning to mimic us lately. Here is a funny video of us going back and forth with her and the funny noise that she just loves to make!
Fun times for Ameilya
Ameilya had a fun time hanging out with Brooke and Lara Leigh while I was teaching a violin lesson to Lara Leigh's daughter Breanne. Brooke pushed Ameilya around in a little storage tub and she had so much fun!
