Visit from Auntie Gracee and (soon to be Uncle) Tanner

This last weekend my sister Gracee and her fiance Tanner drove to Port Hueneme from where they live in Provo, UT. We haven't  seen them since October and Tyler hadn't met Tanner since he was at OCS when we last visited them. We had such a fun time, we went to the beach, twice! That was a blast. Other than that we just hung out and had a great time being together for the last time before we go overseas. (Slightly unrelated: we are going overseas in 10 days! Anyone other than me freaking out about that?!?! That's a post all by itself, one that I'll save for later on.) Grace and Tanner are going to be getting married in June in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple and we are so sad to be missing their wedding but happy that they are getting married and starting an adventure together!
Here are a few (probably too many, lol) pictures from the couple days we got to spend with those two lovebirds.

Friday at the beach in Oxnard:

Action shot, jumping into the pit:

Madi found the bubbles, turns out that they didn't work so they quickly became a playing instead of being used for their intended purpose

Burying Aunties feet

Ameilya number into the pit

Tanner lovingly throwing Grace into the ocean ;) (he didn't actually succeed, in case you were worried)

And the frolicking that ensued

Aren't they cute together?!

Ameilya loved having Tanner around

Madi warmed up to her Auntie right away

Let's build a sand castle!

Finished product!

Saturday we went to the beach in Santa Barbara with surfboards and wet suits. One of Tyler's classmates, Femi, who is with him at CECOS and graduated in the same OCS class as Tyler came with us that day as well. (My kids decided that Femi is their new best friend, Ameilya walked around holding his hand half the time at the beach and Madi occupied his lap for a good part of the evening. It was so cute!)

Madi sits down every time a wave comes, such a silly girl!

Trying to figure this kite out ;)

Tanner and Tyler in the water with their surfboards

Madi also loved having Tanner around

Ameilya got to throw the ball and play fetch with this nice dog whose owner was kind enough to let our family play with their dog for a little while. The kids had a blast playing with the dog ;) they better not be asking for a puppy anytime soon! It's just not happening! Lol
