Excuse my absence, we have had a lot going on in our little family. I'll give you the sweetened condensed version ;)
First, our basement flooded. Sounds terrible but it was just the push we needed to get everything done to list our house for sale. We had a sprinkler valve burst. We tore out the old floor and baseboards, had a remediation company come in and dry everything out, painted walls and ceilings, finished putting in hard ceiling in a couple places, put in new floor and baseboards, painted all the trim around the built in bookshelves and windows, replaced light fixtures, replaced outlets and covers. Second, we moved a bunch of stuff to storage make the house look better to buyers. Pictures were taken. Third, we listed our house on the MLS. We had three offers in two and a half days, all at full price or higher. We accepted a cash offer and they ended up backing out because a roundabout was planned for the edge of our property in about five years. Fourth, our basement flooded. Again. We had a sprinkler shooting right into a window well. We tore out all the new-old floor and baseboards, touched up paint, had Home Depot come in and install a new new floor. Fifth, we accepted another offer at more than full price despite the water in the basement. Sixth, the fellow that appraised the house for the buyers lender said we had to scrape off all peeling paint and repaint the shed and corral and there couldn't be any paint peelings on the ground and then have them reinspect. So back to Lowe's we went, bought paint and scrapers. Scraped and scraped, did our best get all the paint shavings on a tarp. Repainted. Vacuumed up all the paint peelings with the shop vac. Reinspection happening tomorrow. Seventh, to put the cherry on top our washing machine decided to stop mid load one day. But Tyler was able to order a part online and fixed it in about ten minutes :)
Tyler: scheduled to leave for Officer Candidate School on July 15 but still hasn't gotten his official orders so who knows what's really going to happen. Finished with his thesis. Defends tomorrow.
Rylee: busy taking care if the kiddos, just taught the last of my music lessons for the summer. Packing and taking care of all the house hold stuff.
Ameilya: talks like a pro. Loves gymnastics. Is so busy all the time. Looking into swimming lessons for her. Wearing 3T and some size 4 clothes. Potty trained about a month ago, had only 4 or 5 accidents total. Hasn't had an accident in almost a month.
Madilynn: days mama and Dada, Nana, baba, vuh vuh. Crawling. Weighs a little over 16 pounds. Is a happy little clam more often than not. Still had only two teeth but I'd working on a third, it just hasn't popped through yet.
Random: we close on our house on July 29th with the possibility of closing sooner if everything is ready. We have an apartment in Boise and can start moving in there on the 18th.
Our buyer is retried Navy!!! She is super cool and kind and was in the construction battalion that Tyler will have to serve at least one tour in. She's going to be coming over this weekend and answering questions and helping us to have as easy of a transition as possible. She came and helped me paint the shed and she has lots of good information for us and it will be a blessing to have met her.
Everything going well despite all the hard things that have happened! With the sale of our house we will be able to get completely out of debt and possibly have a little left over to get us into a bigger vehicle as we have outgrown our little red golf, our "little car that can". We are so blessed, God is so mindful of us and our family and I firmly believe that everything that has happened to us has happened for a reason and that the Lord is mindful of all his children and has a perfect plan for each of us. Even when things don't seem to be working out, the Lord always has a plan for us and things will turn out alright if we have faith, hold tight to the Iron Rod, and move forward with what we feel we are supposed to do. I'm grateful for all our many blessings and a loving Heavenly Father.
I will post pictures of some of our recent family happenings soon :)
